The commitment to the environment permeates our entire production chain. From our processes and facilities to product and supply chain development.
Our goal is to decarbonize our operations by focusing primarily on reducing the use of fossil fuels and improving the company's energy and operational efficiency. Therefore, Embraer has been working mainly to be supplied 100% by renewable electricity, replace the use of fossil fuels with renewable ones, and develop the production chain of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Regarding emissions associated with scope 3, the category related to the use of the product after its sale is the most relevant in the context of aircraft manufacturing activity. Thus, it is essential to work on efficiency and reduce fuel consumption in manufactured aircraft, in addition to enabling technologies that will enable the transition to a low-carbon economy, such as aircraft capable of flying with 100% renewable fuel and disruptive technologies such as hybrid, electric, and hydrogen-powered aircraft.
With this objective, we aim to bring best-in-class aircraft to the market, aiming to help our customers and partners achieve their climate goals. This is a joint effort, and we must work without borders to address the climate crisis.

Embraer has a history of innovation in alternative fuels and, since 2004, the company has been certified by ANAC for the Ipanema powered by 100% hydrated alcohol (ethanol), which makes this the only aircraft in the world certified to fly with this type of fuel.
We believe that collaborative innovation is the best way to co-create the future, adding value to all its stakeholders and society. Within the company's decarbonization strategy, the development of the sustainable aviation fuel production chain (SAF) and technological studies to make our current aircraft more efficient are among the priorities.
ESG is a long journey that can be impacted by technological innovations and new demands from society. That is why for 10 years we have been publishing our progress annually, through the Annual Sustainability Report, following international reporting guidelines. In addition, we participate in relevant market indices, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the CDP - Carbon Disclosure Project, to maintain transparency and active communication with investors.
